Since 2018 (!), Omega has been introducing special watches to commemorate the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. I secured my favorite from the five Speedmaster Tokyo 2020 watches, and afterward, they also introduced a beautiful Seamaster Diver 300M, Aqua Terra, and Planet Ocean that commemorates the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. Now, however, it is time to bring the big guns. Meet the 18ct gold Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Tokyo 2020.Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 sound a bit weird in 2021, but no further explanation is needed I am sure. I am looking forward to the start of the Games in these special times. Together with my daughter, I am a fan of field hockey, and since our orange teams are performing incredibly well there (unlike the soccer teams), it will be fun to watch. I will make sure to wear my Speedmaster Rising Sun. gallery-1 {margin: auto;} gallery-1 .gallery-item {float: left;margin-top: 10px;text-align: center;width: 33%;} gallery-1 img {border: 2px solid cfcfcf;} gallery-1 .gallery-caption {margin-left: 0;}/* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

Seamaster Aqua Terra Tokyo 2020The Games will start on July 23rd and the closing is on August 8th. Omega is the timekeeper for this event and has been since 1932. For the 29th time, Omega takes pride and precision to have that official role as the timekeeper of all sports events. Including field hockey.Aside from the commemorative watches that I already mentioned, including an Aqua Terra Tokyo 2020 in steel (we covered it here), theres now also the full gold Seamaster Aqua Terra Tokyo 2020. Correction, there are two of themOne is reference 522.53.38.20.03.001 and if you look at the two digits after the second dot, you could have identified it as a 38mm version. The other Seamaster Aqua Terra Tokyo 2020 watch has 522.53.41.21.03.001 and is, you are totally correct, the 41mm edition. Both in 18ct yellow gold, with blue leather straps on gold folding buckles.
Caliber 8801/8901 comes with the goldThe dial of the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Tokyo 2020 is made of blue ceramic, spiced up with the laser engraved pattern of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. This pattern can also be found on the crystal on the backside of the watch. Small and transparent enough though, to still have a glance at the beautiful caliber 8901 (41mm) or 8801 (38mm) movement inside. As always with Omega, a watch made of precious metal means it also has a gold rotor and gold bridges. Both references have the same specifications, and thus caliber 8801/8901 inside. This movement is Master Chronometer certified by METAS, to ensure accuracy of +5/0 seconds per day on average, anti-magnetism up to 15,000 gauss, and it has the Co-Axial escapement, of course.
Michael Phelps wearing the new Aqua Terra Tokyo 2020.Michael PhelpsHe is the most decorated Olympian in history with 28 medals, including 23 in goldMichael Phelps has been an Omega ambassador since 2004. It only makes sense that at least he will be wearing one. He says: To really be prepared for an Olympic Games, you have to put in the work. You have to go through the struggle. For the journey I went five times, it was never easy, but I know the work that I was doing gave me the results that I deserved..
Gents and ladiesThe 41mm version of the Seamaster Aqua Terra Tokyo 2020 is considered a gents watch, with more masculine-looking hour markers and date window. The 38mm is marketed as a ladies version, with rounder hour markers and a round date window. But as always, do as you please, of course!
