Welcome back to This Week in Watches for July 18, 2020 the Colors Edition. Weve got some nice shades for you today, so lets take a look at the palette.
Panerai Luminor Blu Mare 44mmNow, blue has been one of the hottest colors for the last five years or so and theres no stopping it. Proof positive is the new Panerai Luminor Blu Mare in 44mm. This stainless piece reminds us of the Luminor models from the late 1990s and damn is it hot. Check out that angled case, applied numerals, and OP symbol and youre transported back to a great era for Panerai. The blue dial looks perfect and it matches the blue leather and additional rubber strap. The caliber 6000 works away inside and, yes, you have to wind it. At 5,200, the new PAM01085 looks like a winner to me. Head to Panerai to buy because this one is online only.
Chronoswiss Open Gear ReSec ChocolateBrown isnt one of those colors that makes it to watches too often, but Chronoswiss is set on changing that. The brown PVD watch adds a fiery cranberry and chili colored dial. Apparently, the entire inspiration came from Lucerne-based Max Chocolatier, but Id resist sinking your teeth into this oneOn a positive note, if you buy one (only 50 available), youll receive a quarterly subscription of chocolate from Max for a full year. The movement is the caliber C.301 automatic and has the well-known retrograde running seconds hand. I must say, the colors didnt sound great from reading, but seeing is believing. This works10,000 will grant you permanent access to this sweet treat. Visit Chronoswiss for more information.
Zenith Defy Pink 21 EditionNot enough colors for you yet? Well, heres the Zenith Defy Pink 21 Edition. Something tells me that Gerard will wish he hadnt bought such a plain Jane version of the Defy. Zenith has decided to make a charitable watch with proceeds going to the Pink Ribbon Switzerland organization that helps in the fight against breast cancer. The Pink 21 Edition comes in rose gold with 288 white diamonds on its surface. The rose gold bezel adds 44 baguette sapphires. The dial is open-worked and features a pink PVD-treated gear train. For 59,900, this piece will make its way into boutiques in August. I dont see the Pink 21 on the Zenith site yet, but keep checking.Folks, thats all for this weekenjoy your weekend!
